Cartoon licenced games don’t tend to be good, mediocre at best, but there are some that when looked at closely and buffed just a little bit turn out to be gems. Samurai Jack: The Amulet of Time is one of them. (more…)
Has anyone ever noticed how creepy the assist trophy looks in the new Super Smash Bros. for 3DS and for WiiU?
Assist trophies are an item in the Super Smash Bros. series starting from Brawl and also appearing on Super Smash Bros. for 3DS and Super Smash Bros. for WiiU and would summon a random characters from vairous video games. I’m not saying there’s a creepy pasta going around about the assist trophy because as we all know, Smash Bros. is played out by a child’s imagination using toys and action figures of various Nintendo characters and then some but compared to the assist trophy item design in brawl, the one for SSB4 looks a tad scary. Another long gap since the last Recent Buys but it is October and a bunch of games that I’m excited for are starting to come out.
To kick off October, it started with the release of Super Smash Bros. for the 3DS. I’ve been a nut for the Super Smash Bros. since I got to play the N64 release at a friend’s house when I was in the United States on vacation back in the day. I’m planning to eventually get a WiiU but for now, the 3DS version should hold me off until then. (more…)
A friend of mine was getting rid of some figures and statues from her collection and I decided to take some of the Persona 4 stuff she had for sale. First off are two figures from Max Factory’s FIGMA line, Chie Satonaka based off her appearance in the Persona 4 anime and Labrys from her appearance in Persona 4 Arena. The third is a statue of Chie Satonaka by Taito depicting her character select art from Persona 4 Arena. (more…)
Mega Man x4 was one of my favorite games during the original PlayStation era and is also one of my favorites from the X series. The first game with gorgeous 32-bit sprites and the first game where you can use really use Zero (I know Zero was usable in X3 but only for the stages and not against the boss). (more…)
We are halfway into the Steam Summer Sale and like always – It’s a test of discipline or patience. As much as we love seeing the games we want to play go down in price, we should always keep our head straight and think before going crazy on each item on sale. (more…)
This may not be new to you guys but it’s new to me. For all the times I’ve beaten Mega Man X4, I honestly had no idea that you could face Magma Dragoon via a hidden room using the ride armor. I’ve always beaten him with either the X buster or the double cyclone weapon. (more…)
